“No Ocean Between Us” – May 1-9, 2021
If you haven’t seen the “No Ocean Between Us” exhibition at the San Antonio Museum of Art, then there’s still time in May to do so! With over 65 works from modern and contemporary art periods done by various artists from Latin America and the Caribbean, this exhibition touches on themes of diasporic community, migration, colonialism, and war.
Paranormal Cirque – May 1-9, 2021
Ingram Park Mall is the place to be, as they host Cirque Italia’s Paranormal Cirque. If you can’t make it to opening night April 29th, then you’ll be able to catch this amazing circus from May 1 to May 9! This circus will amaze you with illusionists, daring acrobats, strange creatures, and so much more! Tickets range from $10 to $50, and you must be 13 years or older to attend.
Garden Ridge Market Days – May 8, 2021
Want to support local farmers and producers? Then head over to the Garden Ridge Market at Northeast Bible Church. Happening once a month this year, you can catch this farmer’s market on May 8, starting at 9 AM. Here, you’ll be introduced to over 130 local farms, along with their vast collection of produce, products, etc. Just keep in mind: Masks are required in order to attend.
San Antonio Symphony – May 14-15, 2021
Calling all music lovers! Calling all symphony lovers! San Antonio Symphony presents Classical Concert VII! Happening for two days straight at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts starting at 8 PM, the San Antonio Symphony will delight audiences with their renditions of works from Beethoven, Schubert, and more!
Children’s Ballet Of San Antonio – May 21-22, 2021
In the mood for ballet? Then catch the Children’s Ballet of San Antonio, as they celebrate their 5th anniversary with Swan Lake. With help from the San Antonio Symphony, this ballet will dazzle you with performances reminiscent of the choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. Coming to the Majestic Theatre, opening night is on May 21 at 7 PM, with tickets at $20-25.
Sea Life San Antonio Grand Opening – May 25, 2021
May 25 marks the grand opening of Sea Life San Antonio. Starting at 11 AM at the Shops at Rivercenter, Sea Life San Antonio offers a family-friendly experience, as visitors are graced with over 10 interactive zones, along with underwater creatures that swim overhead.

Movie Metal – All Month Long
A car guru? A movie fan? Movie Metal has the best of both worlds! Presented by the San Antonio Museum of Art, Movie Metal is a pop-up installation of vehicles from shows like Batman (1966) and movies like Transformers. Starting at 10 AM on select days, see these “stars” in person, as each pop-up is made realistically using economic-based materials. Plus, the viewings are free with museum admission.
