Summer camps are available for children as young as three, all the way up to age 11 and are predominantly in half-day segments from 9a-noon (ages 3-4) or 3p (ages 5-7 and 8-11). Extended care is available from noon to 3 pm upon request for children ages 3-4.

The San Antonio Zoo has a summer camp drop-off program for children school ages kinder through fifth grade. Programs include A Place to Call Home, ZSI: Zoo Science Investigator, and Camp Zoorassic, all focused on wildlife education. There’s also a Wild Careers option that explores opportunities in the zoo industry, available to campers of 6th-8th grade ages.

The Witte Museum offers a number of summer camp options to kids and preteens between 6-12 years old. Themed weekly camps for younger kids include Cooking Up History, Survival of the Fittest Junior, and Mini CHEFs, while camps for older children include Engineer It!, Super CHEFs, and Junior Paleontologists.
