| I use a short 1x2, wedged in place to loosen the clutch adjustment lock-nut. It gets tight over time. After it's loose, back out the adjuster a couple turns and re-tighten until you feel (resistance) it touch the lifter berring. Then back it out a quarter to half turn. I keep mine at a quarter turn, but you must be certain there is no contact between the thrust washer and the lifter berring or it'll wear much faster. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| I allow about 3/8s to 1/2 inch of the thread on the bottom adjuster to show and adjust the rest of the cable slack at the lever. | ||||||||||||||||||||
