Remove entire clutch assembly by pulling two of the threaded columns coming out from the backing plate. Turn over and lay on the floor (below). When removing, hold together as one piece so nothing moves. When putting back together, you'll want everything back as close to the same as possible. | ||||||||||||||||

On the left, you see the empty clutch
basket. The hole in the center shaft is where the oil, that lubricates
the clutch, comes from. In the picture on the right you see one of the
friction disks. The pads are designed with a space or groove between,
shaped to allow oil to spin out of the central area of the clutch
assembly.
Remember, that in these pictures the clutch has been laid over to make reassembly easier, so the spaces appear to rotating (if clockwise), or spinning to keep the oil in, but in fact when the assembly is picked back up and reinstalled, the grooves between the pads will be faced the right way - spinning the oil outward. |

| All right, pull the back plate off, and remove the whole assembly. Arrange you new parts near by. | |||||||||||||||||
