With 10mm wrench, undo the "pull open" cable adjuster lock-nut and pull downward, out of its holder. Then pull upward (as below) in order to remove cable barrel from throttle linkage.
Your wiring will be in a harness and won't be as much in the way as mine...when I rewired mine I left all the wires accessible incase I made a mistake. I didn't rewire the bike exactly by the book, it was my own design. Less wire and easy to work on or replace one wire at a time.
