The Blue one
is a K6 Honda Frame with RICKMAN body and Clubman bars with DUNSTALL
Rearsets.
The chassis is basically stock, and
yes, one disc works just fine. It has: tapered head bearings, springs
and shocks are nameless but they work great after swapping a few things
around. It was so stiff when I got it that it was causing me pain. I
thought it was my back hurting from the "racers only" riding
position. Turns out it was bruised kidneys from the terrible expansion
joints on the I-80 Corridor from Sacramento to San Francisco. I rode it
180 miles a day for two years to work, year 'round.
The engine was stuck on #4 when I
got it, so I replaced the jug. All the pistons and rings came from
buckets of junk and other broken motors, all the seals and gaskets are
new, but nothing else. Kenny Harmon D grind cam w/RC spring kit and one
of my port jobs. DYNA III and Generic Jap. Mfg. chrome coils w/7mm ACELL
wires for Ign. The Quick Release pipe is of unknown origin but is indeed
tuned and with the Meg open it has the typical characteristic of running
backwards at several points in the power curve. The power is a lot like
a giant race tuned 2/stroker, lotsa clutch and lotsa rpm are needed to
get it moving and 20mph is absolute min speed. With 18/48 gearing It has
a noticeable surge of power @ 145 MPH in high gear. Top speed is unknown
and it makes solid power past the far side of the RedBand so It'll keep
up on the High Banks, No Prob.
It's in a gazillion pieces right now being transformed into a Hack. More
to follow on that one.
