Mark D's 1978 CB750F

        This F model, I first saw in a local newspaper advertised in "good shape", for $500.  I drove two hours north of my home, to find it laying against a bunch of boxes.  It was soaking wet and pretty much beat up really bad.  So much for the ad.  It wouldn't run and the front brakes were siezed solid!  It did kick over and felt like it had reasonable compression, so I threw her in the back of my buddy's pickup and took her home.

        I have since replaced pretty much everything imaginable;  painted the tank - with Honda decal from AFE Graphics, both sidecovers, tires, new seat from Honda, mirrors, fender, exhaust, yadda - yadda....  I had this exact model back in 1978 and just had to get another, without the threat of divorce (haha).  I've lost count of the dollars I've spent on it and don't care, but in my eyes, it's well worth it.  It's my favorite and has a lot of sentimental value.  It's quick as hell and fun to ride!!  Can't beat the SOHC's!!
