Back to Sohc CBs

My wife bought this bike for me as a surprise back in 1996, she only paid $400.  It was in excellent original condition, but it would not start. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out that the wire going to the clutch handle was broken! The bike ran great unitl 2000 when it was stolen out of my driveway. It was recovered the next day, but was damaged and missing a lot of parts. I stripped the bike down to the frame and sanded, primed and painted all the parts. I had to replace the seat, gas tank, side panels, rear shocks, taillight, turnsignals, footpegs, centerstand, ignition switch, seat lock, oil filter bolt, front fork boots, and all emblems. I painted it with a purple/green mirage paint that changes in the light.  I owe a lot of credit to my wife for months of searching on the internet for parts (mostly Ebay) she even hand painted the gas tank emblems. It's not a professional restoration, but the bike looks and runs great and I had fun rebuilding it!
