The bike was given to me by a non-riding friend who bought a house, who's former owner left it behind and never came back for it. It had been parked in the back yard for some time, and suffered from minor surface rust, non-stock exhaust, and servicing needs from something that hasn't been driven in several years.

The original mileage was only 10,000 (why would someone turn their back on that??). I ran a DMV lien sale procedure, and registered it to give to my husband (he was thrilled). It cost me less than $50 and a couple of weekends of labor to get it in riding condition.

I have since replaced the exhaust, re-upholstered the seat, added a windshield and put new tires on it. My husband rides it when we go out for rides (I have my own bike) and short weekend trips. It now has about 15,000 miles on it.
